2M Fabrication Mustang GTD Underbody Bolt Upgrade Kit

A lot of the magic of the GTD is that the underbody is so slippery. The use of underbody belly pans is great, right up until the time that you need to change the oil, work on the exhaust, or fix a leak. Ford uses almost 50 bolts to hold on the belly pans and, unfortunately, chose to use some of the least expensive bolts they could find for the job. So what? Well, a couple of problems. 

1. The bolts are made from grade 5 carbon steel, which means that they are very soft and strip/cross thread if you look at them in a stern manner.
2. The bolts have a very shallow torx bit socket cap setup that is very easy to strip, given how soft the bolts are.

If you ever take off your belly pan, the odds are that you are going to have at least 1-2 screws that will end up giving you problems.
